2022 Children’s Charities
A Carnival Community Focus Program
The Carnival Memphis Children’s Charity Initiative (CCI) was developed in 1999 to assist those who improve the quality of life for children throughout the community. Each year different agencies are selected to receive funds raised by Carnival and the Grand Krewes of Carnival Memphis at fundraisers throughout the year. Since the inception of the CCI (a 501c3 non-profit), over $3,200,000 with matching funds has been donated to local children’s charities.
The Memphis Child Advocacy Center (CAC) supports safety for children through informed prevention and a team approach to healing and justice for victims of sexual and other severe abuse. In addition to helping children after reported sexual or other severe abuse, the CAC offers Stewards of Children sexual abuse prevention and response training to parents and adults who work with children. At the Memphis CAC, victims become children again. For more information visit: memphiscac.org
